The Avon Trail Riders hit the bike today and I briefly hit the road with them. No observations yet as I have to take it steady for while whilst they wear in but I’m fairly sure the overall height of the tyre is slightly lower than the Pirelli Scorpion Rally STRs, which given the difference in tread would probably make some sense.

I believe these are a harder compound than the stock Pirellis and you can certainly feel the road slightly more but the mileage and road grip will ultimately both be far superior. I will take these out and wear them through the 100 mile barrier tomorrow and once done we should be able to test them properly. Military Road should be fun with these!
