After lowering the Overland Rider T700 by a whole 40mm, the OEM side stand simply doesn’t support the bike correctly. The OEM stand, as you probably remember, was replaced with a Rally Raid stand but unfortunately that stand was not sufficiently short to deal with 40mm lowering links so I’m excited to be soon receiving the T-Rex Racing Adjustable Side Stand, which I’m fairly sure will solve this problem.

The RR stand is 30mm (1.18 inches) shorter than the OEM stand and is not far off if the parking surface is exactly flat or leaning to the left. However, if there is the slightest left to right camber to the road you won’t be able to safely park the bike and in most cases the bike won’t stand at all. The T-Rex adjustable stand lowers up to 63.5mm (2.5 inches) from stock and that should solve the problem admirably. I’ll post a full review of this stand in circa two weeks once installed and tested.
