I have a few videos I’d like to get done soon and some of them, I think, are going to be better served with a helmet mount rather than my usual crash bar mount. Doing some research, there are a plethora of options but very few that I thought would work well with my Bell MX-9 MIPS helmet.

I then stumbled across a Canadian company known as “Chin Mounts”.. Hmm.. sounds the part, eh? Amazingly, they had custom chin mounts for virtually any helmet you could wag a stick at and sure enough, there on the list was my trusty MX-9. It’s a very simple little 3M mount that just sticks in place and at £28 it’s not cheap (especially for what it is) but it does very effectively remove a whole bunch of other stuff that most mounts introduce to the equation and the Action Pack of several different mount fittings is only an additional £16 and equips you with quite a flexible setup. Purchasing the two together resulted in a 10% discount and free shipping, so £39 plus some coins all in. I’ll be using this system and reviewing it in the coming weeks.

Next on the list will be the Lenskins MRC ND 16 Filter for GoPro Hero 5 Black, Hero 6 Black and Hero 7 Black. I went for the ND16 option which if my photography knowledge is correct, should help to get better colours and smoother video quality. We’ll see if I’m correct when I use and review it in a few weeks time.
