UPCOMING REVIEWS – CHINMOUNTS GOPRO MOUNT + LENSKINS GOPRO ND FILTER

I have a few videos I’d like to get done soon and some of them, I think, are going to be better served with a helmet mount rather than my usual crash bar mount. Doing some research, there are a plethora of options but very few that I thought would work well with my Bell MX-9 MIPS helmet. I then stumbled across a Canadian company known as “Chin Mounts”.. Hmm.. sounds the part, eh? Amazingly, […]

AVON TRAIL RIDERS NOW RIDDEN IN – TIME TO PUSH THEM!

I put 75 miles on the Avon Trail Riders yesterday and after being presented with another glorious day (and after properly celebrating my wife as a brilliant Mum) I headed out for 90 minutes to complete the ride in process. They now have 125 miles on them and should be good to push properly. I opened up the T700 round the last few corners and she felt a lot like other bikes I’ve ridden with […]

AVON TRAIL RIDERS INSTALLED AND READY TO RIDE!

The Avon Trail Riders hit the bike today and I briefly hit the road with them. No observations yet as I have to take it steady for while whilst they wear in but I’m fairly sure the overall height of the tyre is slightly lower than the Pirelli Scorpion Rally STRs, which given the difference in tread would probably make some sense. I believe these are a harder compound than the stock Pirellis and you […]

RALLY RAID SHORT SIDE STAND (KICKSTAND) FOR TENERE 700 REVIEW

I’m 5′ 10″ with a 31″ inch inside leg and as such the T700 is a tad tall for me. Without lowering it I can ride it just fine but trying to manoeuvre the bike whilst sat on it (especially with rally pegs installed) is all but impossible. With the engine going I can move it forward just fine, of course, but the slightest imbalance and the top heavy T700 is heading towards the ground […]

RAM CLAW GOPRO CRASH BAR MOUNT + HANDLEBAR WIFI REMOTE INSTALL

I haven’t virtually any forward facing space left on the front of my Adventure Spec crash bars as pretty much all the real estate is taken up by the Rigid Industries Pods and Light Bar. Handlebars are never the best place for a GoPro and I didn’t want it suckered to my screen so I needed a small solution that would allow movement in all axis. That I found in the shape of the RAM […]

YAMAHA TENERE 700 RUGGED ROADS CHAIN GUARD

The chain guard on my T700 was fine.. “Plastic” but fine! So why did I replace it with a raw silver aluminium guard from Rugged Roads? Purely cosmetic geekness, if I’m completely honest. Does the chain guard need to be metal instead of plastic? Nope! Was the plastic one prone to breaking? Nope! Was it overly ugly? Nope! Is the Rugged Roads one seriously better looking? Damn right it is and that’s why I shelled […]

MOTOPRESSOR POCKET PUMP & INLINE TYRE GAUGE INSTALL – T700

So I’ve unboxed and “reviewed” the MotoPressor Pocket Pump and now it’s time to install it into my 2020 Yamaha Tenere 700. Here’s a quick video showing how I hardwired it in and where I positioned it under the seat. MOTOPRESSOR POCKET PUMP VALVE ADAPTERS

Following the unboxing review of the MotoPressor Pocket pump I published yesterday, it occurred to me (and a few FaceBook readers) that when on the road touring you often need to pump up air mattresses and other stuff over and above tyres, so a set of adapters to that end would be useful. After a little research this £5.99 set from Amazon popped up and looked just the job. Today they arrived. In the bag […]

MOTOPRESSOR POCKET PUMP & INLINE TYRE GAUGE

I’ve just received this tiny MotoPressor Pocket Pump and Inline Tyre Gauge so I thought I’d do a little unboxing and show you what’s inside. The two pieces can be bought separately or bundled together but come in their own boxes. To give you an idea of the size, the larger box is only about 6 x 5 inches. Inside the smaller box we have the Inline Tyre Gauge. I’ve not yet tested either of […]
